What is the preferable timing for the Friday prayer?

It is preferable that the Friday prayer is performed only after the zenith (Zawal) to avoid scholarly disagreement and to perform it during the time the Prophet performed it most frequently. It should be hastened at the start of its proper time in both summer and winter. Hastening is recommended because the Prophet did so, and because people gather for it early; delaying it would cause hardship for those who arrive punctually. Delaying Dhuhr in severe heat is done to avoid greater hardship, whereas delaying Jumu'ah causes greater hardship to those who have already assembled.
