Is the recitation of Surah Al-Kahf on Friday recommended?

The recitation of Surah Al-Kahf on the day of Jumu'ah is recommended (Mustahabb). Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, stated: "Whoever recites the Cave (Al-Kahf) on Friday will be protected from every trial for eight days, and if the Dajjal emerges, he will be protected from him." This narration is reported by Zaydun bin Ali in his book with his chain of narration. Furthermore, Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri narrated that whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf on Friday will have light illuminated for him between himself and the Ancient House (Al-Bayt Al-'Atiq).

Khaled bin Ma'dan stated that whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf before the Imam exits (for prayer) on Friday, it serves as expiation for the period between that Friday and the next, and its light reaches the Ancient House.
