What is the required orientation for the Imam (preacher) during the sermon?

The preacher must direct himself toward the listeners' full attention. This is an established Sunnah because the Prophet, peace be upon him, performed it, as it is more effective for people to hear and more just in addressing all sides equally. If the preacher turns away from one side or turns his back to the congregation while facing the Qibla, the sermon remains valid because the primary objective is achieved without this orientation.
