It is recommended to offer condolence to everyone affected by the calamity, both the old and the young. Preference should be given to the prominent members among them, and those looked up to, so that others may follow their example. Similarly, condolence should be offered to the weak members lacking the strength to bear the affliction, due to their need for it.
