What is the evidence supporting the beautification and proper construction of the grave?

It is recommended to perfect, deepen, and widen the grave based on the Prophetic tradition where the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, stood over a grave and commanded how it should be made, indicating that Allah loves perfection in action, which is also reported to be more soothing for the hearts of the relatives.
