Is it recommended to encourage the sick person toward repentance and making a will?

The sick person should be encouraged toward repentance and making a will (*wasiyyah*). This is based on the statement of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, narrated by Ibn Umar: 'It is not fitting for a Muslim man who has something to bequeath to spend two nights without his will being written down with him.' This is agreed upon by Al-Bukhari and Muslim (Muttafaq 'alayh).
