Is prayer performed over the children of polytheists?

Prayer is not performed over the children of polytheists because they are ruled according to the status of their parents. However, if a child's Islam is established through a ruling, prayer is performed over them. This ruling applies if one of their parents converts to Islam, or if the child is captured separately from both parents or one of them, in which case prayer is offered.
