What is the prescribed supplication upon affliction?

Upon affliction, the prescribed saying is: 'Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return. O Allah, reward me for my affliction and compensate me with something better than it.' Whoever says this, God rewards them for their affliction and grants them something better. Umm Salamah narrated this hadith found in Sahih Muslim.
