Recommended covering for a deceased woman on the washing stretcher

It is recommended to place something made of wood or palm fronds, resembling a canopy (qubbah), over the deceased woman on her stretcher, and then place a garment over that to better conceal her. It is related that Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah be pleased with her), was the first for whom this was done upon her instruction.
