Primary text
Relieving oneself among graves is disliked. Evidence for this is found in the narration from 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir, where the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, stated: 'That I tread upon a burning coal or a sword is dearer to me than that I tread upon the grave of a Muslim. I do not mind whether I relieve myself in the middle of the graves or in the middle of the marketplace.' This hadith was narrated by Ibn Majah.
