Is riding an animal while returning from a funeral permissible?

Riding an animal upon returning from the burial site is permissible without issue. This is evidenced by the report that the Prophet (peace be upon him) followed the funeral of Ibn Al-Dahdah on foot and returned riding a horse. Al-Tirmidhi classified this hadith as Hasan (good).
