What is the ruling regarding the instruction not to resemble men concerning the hair of the deceased woman?

In the hadith of Umm Sulaym concerning the Prophet (peace be upon him), it is commanded: 'Braid her hair into three plaits: one for the forelock (qassah) and two for the sides, and do not make her resemble men.'
