What is the ruling regarding the waiting period (Iddah) if a revocable divorce (Talaq Raj'i) occurs and one spouse dies during the Iddah?

If a revocable divorce occurs and one spouse dies during the Iddah, the two remain under the ruling of being husband and wife prior to the divorce. This is because the wife is observing an Iddah for a widowhood (Iddat al-Wafat). Consequently, she inherits from him, and he inherits from her. Furthermore, he is permitted to have intercourse with her.
