What is the ruling on the washing (Ghusl) and funeral prayer for the rebellious group (Al-Bughat) killed in battle?

Primary text
According to Al-Kharqi, those killed among the rebellious group must be washed, shrouded, and prayed over. It is plausible they should be grouped with the righteous party (Ahl al-'Adl) because it is not narrated that the dead of the Battles of the Camel or Siffin were washed on either side, and their large numbers in battle make washing them difficult, thus resembling the righteous party.

Regarding the funeral prayer for Ahl al-'Adl, it is plausible that the prayer should not be performed for them, as they were assimilated to the martyrs of the battle against polytheists regarding Ghusl. Conversely, it is plausible that the prayer should be performed, as Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) prayed over them.
