When placing the deceased into the grave, the supplication recited is: 'In the Name of Allah, and upon the creed (or path) of the Messenger of Allah.' This hadith, narrated by Ibn Umar, has been classified as Hassan Gharib by Al-Tirmidhi. An extended version narrated via Ibn Masayib recounting Ibn Umar’s practice includes the phrases: 'In the Name of Allah, and in the path of Allah, and upon the creed of the Messenger of Allah.'
