Is a gift (*Hiba*) made by a minor valid?

A gift made by a minor to another party is invalid. This invalidity holds whether the minor's guardian (*wali*) provided permission or not. This ruling is established because the minor is legally restrained regarding his own property, thus his voluntary transfer of wealth is void, similar to an imbecile (*safih*).
