Did the Prophet (PBUH) command the father to include his wife in the equalization of the gift among his children?

The Prophet (peace be upon him), when commanding Bashir to equalize the gift among his children, did not command him to give anything to his wife, nor did he inquire whether he had other heirs besides his children. This indicates that the obligation of equalization is specific to the children.
