Primary text

A slave cannot validly give a gift except with the explicit permission of his master. This is because all of the slave's possessions belong to the master. Therefore, the slave cannot remove his master's ownership from any asset without permission, akin to a non-related third party (*ajnabi*).

Supporting text

A slave is permitted to accept a gift without the master's permission. This is because accepting the gift results in the acquisition of wealth for the master, similar to finding lost property (*iltiqat*). Furthermore, any gift the slave bestows upon his master is considered permissible since it stems from his own earnings, resembling what he acquires through hunting.
