It is recommended to remove unkempt hair, eliminate bad odors, pluck underarm hair, trim the mustache, clip the nails, and shave the pubic hair. This is recommended because the state of Ihram necessitates bathing and the use of perfume, similar to the recommendation for Friday prayer. Furthermore, since Ihram prohibits cutting hair or nails, performing these acts beforehand prevents the need to do so while in the state of restriction.
