Primary text

The Dam (sacrifice) falls upon the agent if the Qiran was performed without permission from the principals, due to the lack of permission concerning its underlying cause. If the principals gave permission, the Dam is incumbent upon them because the permission for its cause was present.

Supporting text

If only one principal authorized the act, half of the Dam is due from that authorizing principal, and the other half is the responsibility of the agent.
