If the pilgrim possesses a Hady, it must be slaughtered near Safa or Marwah. The slaughtering is permissible anywhere within the boundaries of the Haram (sacred precinct). This is based on the statement of the Prophet, peace be upon him: 'All passes/valleys of Makkah are paths and places for slaughtering.' This Hadith is narrated by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah.
