There is a complete consensus among scholars regarding the prohibition of killing and hunting game for a person in the state of Ihram. Allah the Exalted mandated this prohibition in His Book, stating: "O you who have believed, do not kill game while you are in the state of Ihram" (Quran 5:95). He also stated: "And forbidden to you is the game of land as long as you are in Ihram" (Quran 5:96).
