There is no objection to a person in Ihram draping a shirt (qamis) over themselves, wearing it as an upper garment (irtida'), or wearing a connected upper garment (rida' muwaṣṣal), provided it is not tied (i.e., fastened at the edges). The prohibition is specifically against sewn items placed directly on the limb (i.e., sewn to fit the body part).
