Is it permissible for a pilgrim to have perfume on their head from before entering the state of Ihram?

It is permissible if the perfume was applied to the head before entering the state of Ihram. This is supported by the narration from Aisha, who said: "I can almost see the shimmer of perfume on the head of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)." Furthermore, Ibn Abbas had the appearance of a mound of *ghaliyah* (a strong perfume) on his head while he was in the state of Ihram.
