Is it recommended for the offerer to personally distribute the meat of the Hady?

It is recommended that the person offering the Hady personally handles the distribution of the meat. This is considered more secure and less harmful to the poor. However, allowing the poor direct access to the meat is permissible, based on the statement of the Prophet, peace be upon him: "Whoever wishes, may take a piece."
