Is it recommended to touch (istilam) the Black Stone after finishing the two rak'ahs of Tawaf before proceeding to Safa?

It is recommended to return to touch the Black Stone (al-Hajar al-Aswad) after completing the two rak'ahs of Tawaf and before heading out to Safa. This is based on the action of the Prophet (PBUH) as narrated by Jabir in the description of his Hajj. Ibn 'Umar also practiced this. This view is held by Al-Nakh'i, Malik, Al-Thawri, Al-Shafi'i, Abu Thawr, and the companions of the opinion (Ahl al-Ra'y). There is no known disagreement on this matter.
