What is the legal status of frequently performing Umrah from Al-Tann'īm?

Frequent performance of Umrah by leaving for Al-Tann'īm is questioned regarding its reward. Tāwūs expressed uncertainty about whether those who perform Umrah from Al-Tann'īm are rewarded or punished. He reasoned that leaving for a distance of four miles to perform Umrah means the person misses out on performing Tawāf around the House (Ka'bah), and the reward for performing Tawāf is greater than the merit gained from walking that distance for Umrah.
