The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, performed one Hajj, which was the Farewell Pilgrimage (Hajjat al-Wada'). He performed four Umrahs: one in Dhu al-Qa'dah, the Umrah of Hudaybiyyah, an Umrah combined with his Hajj, and the Umrah from Ji'ranah following the distribution of the spoils of Hunayn. This is considered Hasan Sahih and agreed upon (Muttafaqun 'alayh).

A narration from Mujahid suggests the Prophet performed another Hajj before the Farewell Pilgrimage, but this narration is not considered established by Ahmad. Furthermore, a peculiar narration from Jabir states the Prophet performed three Hajj: two before the Hijrah and one after the Hijrah.
