Primary text

If the person makes up the Hajj after reaching maturity, the Hajj of Islam (*Hajj al-Islam*, the obligatory first Hajj) must be performed first.

Supporting text

If the person enters the state of Ihram for the make-up Hajj before performing the obligatory Hajj of Islam, that Ihram shifts to cover the Hajj of Islam. Whether this current Hajj suffices for both the make-up obligation and the obligatory Hajj depends on whether the invalid Hajj (performed as a minor) included attaining any portion of the standing at Arafah (*wuquf*) after reaching maturity. If it did, it suffices for both; otherwise, it does not suffice, similar to the ruling concerning a slave.
