Primary text

The Muhsar intending Umrah is permitted to exit the state of Ihram and slaughter his offering (*hady*) at the time of being prevented. This is established by the precedent of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his companions during the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, as they exited Ihram and slaughtered their offerings there before the Day of Sacrifice. This ruling is based on the principle that exiting Ihram and slaughtering the offering is permissible for Umrah regardless of the time, as Umrah does not lapse, making the case for Hajj, which is time-sensitive, even stronger.

Supporting text

If the pilgrim is performing Hajj Ifraad or Qiran, one narration holds that he is likewise permitted to exit Ihram and slaughter his offering immediately upon being prevented, following the analogy with Umrah.
