Primary text

The pilgrim in the state of Ihram is specifically mandated to perform the Takbir from noon on the Day of Sacrifice because prior to that, they are occupied with the Talbiyah, which is only terminated upon stoning Jamrat al-'Aqabah, as previously explained. Since there is no prayer due after the stoning and before noon, the Takbir is pronounced immediately after the noon prayer. The pilgrim in the state of Ihram and the one who is not in Ihram (*al-halal*) are equal regarding the end of the period for Takbir. The form of the Takbir is the same as that prescribed for Eid prayer: 'Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illa Allah, Wa Allahu Akbar wa lillahil Hamd.'
