If a Mutamatti' spoils his Umrah and completes the spoiled act, Ahmad mandates that he must proceed to the Miqat to assume Ihram for Hajj. If he fears missing Hajj, he may assume Ihram from Mecca, but he incurs a blood sacrifice (damm). Upon completing his Hajj, he must go to the Miqat to assume Ihram for a makeup Umrah to replace the one he spoiled, and he must offer a sacrificial animal (hady) upon returning to Mecca for spoiling the original Umrah.
