When did the Prophet (PBUH) depart for the stopping place on the Day of Arafah?

The Prophet, peace be upon him, departed for the stopping place when the sun had passed its zenith. Ibn Umar confirmed that they would depart when the sun had declined. When Ibn Umar intended to depart, he asked if the sun had declined, and they waited until informed that it had, at which point he departed. This reflects the practice of departing after the Duhr prayer time has commenced.
