Primary text

If one performs Tawaf with Raml and Idtiba' but omits Sa'i, and then performs Tawaf al-Ziyarah afterward, one should perform Raml in the latter Tawaf because Raml is performed in the subsequent Sa'i, which is consequential to the Tawaf. If Raml were omitted in the Tawaf, it would result in the consequence (Sa'i) being superior in its elements compared to the primary act (Tawaf). This view is attributed to Mujahid and Al-Shafi'i.

Supporting text

This reasoning is invalid because the characteristic of the primary act (Tawaf) is not altered based on its consequence (Sa'i). If they were inherently linked, then omitting Raml in Sa'i due to its absence in the Tawaf would be more logical than applying Raml in the Tawaf based on its presence in the Sa'i.
