It is recommended to stand near the rocks (Al-Sakhurat) and the Mountain of Mercy (Jabal al-Rahmah) and face the Qibla. This is based on the narration of Jabir, where the Prophet, peace be upon him, positioned the side of his she-camel (Al-Qaswa) towards the rocks, placed the spot where people were walking between his hands, and faced the Qibla.
