It is desirable to take the middle path leading to the Large Jamrah, as the Prophet, peace be upon him, took this path, according to the Hadith of Jabir. Upon arriving at Mina, one begins with Jamrat al-'Aqabah, which is the last Jamrah nearest to Mina and the first nearest to Mecca, located near the ridge ('Aqabah).
