What is the required expiation (Fidya) for wearing multiple sewn garments during Ihram?
Chapter on Ransom (Fidyah) and Penalty for Hunting

Book of Hajj
Primary text
Only one expiation (Fidya) is required if a person wears a shirt (qamis), turban ('imamah), trousers (sawaril), and socks (khuffayn) while in the state of Ihram. This is because all these prohibited actions belong to one class of prohibition (wearing sewn garments). Therefore, only a single expiation is obligatory, analogous to applying perfume to the body, head, and feet, which also necessitates only one Fidya.
