When intending both 'Umrah and Hajj together, one must begin by mentioning the 'Umrah. This was explicitly stated by Ahmad, based on the narration from Anas that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "Labbayka bi-'Umratin wa Hajjin" (Here I am for 'Umrah and Hajj).
