The Mutamatti' who fears missing the Hajj rituals must enter the state of Ihram for Hajj and thus becomes a Qarin (one performing Hajj and Umrah together). Similarly, the Mutamatti' who possesses the sacrificial animal (hady) does not exit his Umrah Ihram but enters the Ihram for Hajj with it, thereby becoming a Qarin.
