What is the ruling for one who arrives at Muzdalifah only in the latter half of the night?

If one does not reach Muzdalifah until the last half of the night, there is no penalty upon him because he did not witness any part of the first half, thus the ruling pertaining to the first half does not apply to him, analogous to one who witnessed the day at 'Arafah but not the night.
