Ruling for one who misses the daylight portion of standing at Arafah but arrives and stands at night.
Chapter on the Description of Hajj
Al-Mughni
Book of Hajj
Primary text
If one does not catch any part of the daylight at Arafah and arrives only after the sun has set, standing at night, there is no penalty upon them, and their Hajj is complete. There is no known difference of opinion on this matter, based on the Prophet's saying, 'Whoever catches Arafah at night has performed Hajj,' and because they did not miss a portion of the day, resembling one whose residence is closer than the Miqat and who enters Ihram from there.
