What is the ruling if one repeatedly gazes until ejaculation (mani) occurs?
Chapter on What the Muhrim Must Avoid and What is Permissible for Him
Al-Mughni
Book of Hajj
Primary text
If one repeatedly gazes until ejaculation occurs, there is an obligation of expiation (*dam* or sacrifice). This ruling is held by Abu Al-Khattab, and it is mentioned by Al-Qadi citing Al-Kharaqi. The reasoning is that the semen is considered a part of the original emission, and because pleasure (*tadhdhudh*) was obtained, it is treated as if a physical touch occurred.
Supporting text
If the repeated gazing does not result in the emission of semen (*mani*) or pre-ejaculatory fluid (*madhy*), nothing is incumbent upon the gazer, regardless of whether the gaze was repeated or not.
