What is the ruling if the owner of the Hady does not slaughter it with their own hand?

If the owner does not slaughter the animal personally, it is recommended that they witness the slaughter. This is established by the narration that the Prophet, peace be upon him, told Fatimah, "Attend to your offering, for you will be forgiven with the first drop of its blood."
