Primary text

If a person appoints a deputy for Hajj and another for Umrah, and grants them permission to perform Qiran, the act is valid because Qiran is a legislated rite. If the agent performs Qiran without the explicit permission of both principals, the act is still valid and counts on behalf of both principals. In this case, half of the expense of each principal must be returned to them because the agent undertook the journey on their behalf without their consent for that specific combined act.
