What is the ruling if a person who has entered the state of Ihram for Hajj dies thereafter?

Primary text
If a person enters the state of Ihram for Hajj and subsequently dies, the deputation (*niyabah*) for the remaining rituals is valid. This applies whether the initial Ihram was for themselves or for another person. This is established because the Hajj is an act of worship that permits deputation. If death occurs after performing part of it, the remainder is completed on their behalf, analogous to the ruling concerning Zakah.
