Chapter on the Description of Hajj
Al-Mughni
Book of Hajj
Primary text
If a person doubts whether the stone landed in the designated area, the ritual throwing is invalid because the default assumption is that the obligation of throwing remains upon them, and doubt does not remove an obligation.
Supporting text
If the appearance (al-Dhahir) suggests it landed in the designated area, the throwing is considered valid, as appearance serves as evidence.
