Primary text

It is recommended to pray two rak'ahs after completing Tawaf. It is recommended that these two rak'ahs be performed behind Maqam Ibrahim (the Station of Abraham), based on the verse, "And take the station of Abraham as a place of prayer" (Quran 2:125). It is recommended to recite Surah Al-Kafirun (Chapter 109) in the first rak'ah and Surah Al-Ikhlas (Chapter 112) in the second. Evidence for this practice is found in the description of the Prophet's Hajj, where he went to Maqam Ibrahim, recited the verse, and placed the station between himself and the Kaaba.

Supporting text

It is permissible to recite whatever one wishes in these two rak'ahs, as 'Umar prayed them in Dhi Tuwa. If one performs the prayer anywhere else, it is valid.
