What is the ruling regarding the Hajj journey of a woman who is rescued from captivity among non-believers?
General Chapter

Book of Hajj
Primary text
The journey of a captive woman who is freed from the hands of disbelievers is considered a journey of necessity (Dharurah), and it is not comparable to the journey undertaken by choice. Therefore, she may travel alone because she is warding off a certain harm by undertaking a perceived harm, and one is not required to endure such a potential harm when no actual harm exists in the first place.
