It is impermissible to consume the game in all circumstances where liability (Jaza') is due or not due (i.e., when the killing occurs in the Haram), because it is game killed within the Haram, making it forbidden just as if liability were established. Furthermore, if the human action is severed (the dog acting independently), it is treated as if the dog killed the game by itself without being sent.
