What is the ruling regarding a slave authorized by their master to offer a sacrificial offering (hady)?
General Chapter
Al-Mughni
Book of Hajj
Primary text
If the master grants ownership of the sacrificial offering (hady) to the slave and permits them to offer it, then the ruling is that the slave owns it. In this case, it is treated as an obligatory hady, and the slave cannot exit the Ihram state except by offering it. If the juristic opinion is that the slave does not gain ownership, then fasting is obligatory upon the slave instead.
